Description

Red 90A Shore Polyurethane Rod – Superior Abrasion & Impact Resistant – Available 12.5mm to 61mm Diameters

Product Description:

Upgrade your projects with our Red 90A Shore Polyurethane Rod — engineered for unmatched durability, flexibility, and performance. Designed to outperform rubber and many plastics, this premium polyurethane rod is ideal for applications demanding high abrasion resistance, vibration dampening, and long-lasting wear.

Key Advantages of Our Polyurethane Rod:

  • Exceptional Abrasion Resistance: Outlasts rubber and plastics by up to 4x in high-wear environments.

  • Oil & Solvent Resistant: Perfect for tough industrial and automotive conditions.

  • Superior Tear & Deformation Resistance: Maintains shape and strength under stress.

  • Outstanding Noise & Vibration Dampening: Ideal for applications needing sound reduction and smooth operation.

  • Excellent Aging & Weather Resistance: High resistance to sunlight, ozone, and environmental exposure.

  • Wide Temperature Range: Performs reliably from -32°C to +82°C.

Performance Highlights:
Our polyurethane rod combines mechanical strength with rubber-like elasticity, offering high shear strength and exceptional flexibility. It also boasts electrical insulating properties and excellent low-temperature performance, making it versatile across industries.

Versatile Industrial & Commercial Applications:

  • Automotive suspension bushings, shock absorbers, and seals

  • Gaskets, wear strips, valve inserts, and noise dampers

  • Castors, wheels, and roller coaster/escalator components

  • Heavy-duty uses like snow plough wear strips and fishing trawler pulleys

Important Notes:

  • Polyurethane is a thermoset plastic — it cannot be reheated and reshaped after curing.

  • Not recommended for continuous hot water exposure above 70°C.

  • Machining requires sharp HSS cutters and may be challenging for softer hardness grades.

Bonding & Compatibility:
With proper surface prep, bonds well to metals and most plastics. Suitable for food-grade conveyor surfaces and hoses where wear resistance is critical.

Available Sizes & Colours:
In-stock diameters: 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 38mm, 45mm, 50mm, and 63mm in vibrant red 90A Shore hardness. Custom colours, sizes, and hardness levels available on request.

Why Choose Our Polyurethane Rod?
Designed to deliver superior longevity and resilience, this rod withstands impact, cutting, and harsh conditions far better than traditional rubber or plastic alternatives — protecting your components and extending the life of your equipment.
