What temperature range do PVC strip curtains work in?

Standard clear PVC strip curtains work in temperatures from -20°C to +50°C. For cold store and freezer applications we supply specialist polar-grade PVC that remains flexible down to -30°C without cracking or becoming brittle.

How wide should PVC strip curtain strips overlap?

Strips should overlap by 20-30% of the strip width for effective sealing. For a 200mm wide strip, a 50mm overlap is recommended. Greater overlap increases insulation performance but reduces ease of passage.

Are your PVC strip curtains food-safe?

Yes, our clear PVC strips are manufactured from food-safe PVC compound compliant with EU Regulation 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to contact food. Suitable for food processing, cold stores, bakeries and catering environments.

What is the difference between ribbed and smooth PVC strips?

Smooth clear PVC strips offer maximum visibility and are ideal for pedestrian doorways. Ribbed PVC strips have a corrugated surface that reduces glare, provides a non-slip surface on the strip edges and is preferred for forklift truck doorways.

How do I measure my doorway for PVC strip curtains?

Measure the clear width and height of the doorway opening. Add 100mm to each side for the mounting brackets. Standard strip widths are 100mm, 150mm, 200mm and 300mm. For doorways up to 1.2m wide use 100-150mm strips; for forklift doorways use 200-300mm strips.
