Phenolic foam insulation has a lambda (thermal conductivity) value of approximately 0.018-0.023 W/mK — the lowest of any rigid board insulation. This is significantly better than PIR (0.022-0.028 W/mK) and mineral wool (0.030-0.040 W/mK), meaning thinner boards achieve the same U-value.
