Premium Vine Weevil Killer - Nematodes

This product contains native parasitic entomopathogenic nematode species Steinernema kraussei. The nematodes seek out vine weevil larvae in the soil before entering the larvae through natural openings. Bacteria in the nematodes subsequently infect the larvae, leading to safe and natural control.

These vine weevil nematodes are highly suitable for use on edible crops and open ground where standard chemical controls are not permitted.

Please Note:

• This product should be kept refrigerated until used.
• As the larvae approach the adult stage, they become increasingly difficult to control with nematodes.

• This product is not sold during the period when the larvae are not susceptible to control using nematodes.

Application Information

• When applying to pots, ensure that not too much water flows out of the drainage holes to avoid losing nematodes.
• Once mixed with water, apply immediately to the soil, rinsing any nematodes off the leaves with additional water.
• Vine weevils feed at the roots of plants, so application in this area is beneficial.

Localized Spot Treatment With Watering Can

• Fill a clean bucket with clean water.
• Remove the nematodes from the refrigerator and open the containers.
• Pour the entire contents (minus the container) into the bucket and stir gently.
• Rinse the container in the bucket to ensure all nematodes are mixed in.
• Pour a portion of the concentrated mix into a watering can and top up with fresh water.
• Water the soil/lawn, ensuring to water in with a hose or watering can.
• Each pack treats an area of 100m².

Broad Application To Large Area

• Wash the feeder with water to ensure it is clean.
• Add the entire contents of the pack to the bowl of the feeder, fill the bowl with water, and stir to mix thoroughly. Attach the hose.
• Keeping the feeder upright, apply evenly to the whole area for 8 minutes using a side-to-side motion to ensure nematodes are well mixed.
• Treat the same area again for an additional 8 minutes (or 16 minutes for lawn applications) to apply remaining nematodes and ensure they are adequately watered in.
